       In 2000, Dr. Jiaen Liu, who studied under the "Pioneer of IVF" - Professor Robert Edwards who got Nobel Prize in Medicine in 2010, brought his team's research achievements - the second-generation in vitro fertilization (IVF) technology (ICSI: intracytoplasmic sperm injection) back to China, thus starting a journey that benefits many families.In 2004, with the concern and support of the local government, Beijing Jia En De Yun Hospital, which focuses on reproductive medicine, was officially founded. In November 2005, it received approval from the Ministry of Health to carry out IVF. Together with other tertiary hospitals such as Peking University Third Hospital and Peking Union Medical College Hospital, it was one of the first hospitals in China to obtain license for assisted reproductive technology.
